Active Travel

"Please feel free to watch the video above to find out out why it is important to walk to school.

At Greenvale, we encourage all children to lead active and healthy lifestyles.  One simple way to help achieve this lifestyle is by walking to school or using public transport as opposed to driving and using cars which pollute the environment.

Not only this, but a large number of cars can block driveways which irritate local residents and can also block pedestrians’ view when crossing the road which can be prove dangerous.

We would therefore encourage all children, where possible to walk to school each day, or use local public transport such as the 433 bus route.

Scooters and Bikes

Don’t forget, children are more than welcome to scoot or cycle to school (providing they wear a safety helmet) and park their scooters and bikes in the parking stations located close to the school kitchen.

By not using a car to get to school, you will be doing your bit to work towards making our school a clean and healthy environment in which to learn.

Thank you!
