Extra-curricular activities
Please click here to see the clubs running this half term.
Encouraging your child to participate in extra-curricular clubs is a great way to support their overall development and well-being. These clubs offer a wide range of activities that can help children develop new skills, interests, and passions.
Participating in extra-curricular clubs also provides children with opportunities to interact with their peers and build friendships outside of the classroom. These clubs are often run by passionate teachers and staff who are dedicated to helping children succeed and have fun.
Additionally, being involved in extra-curricular clubs can help children develop important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership. These skills will serve them well in their future academic and professional pursuits.
Furthermore, taking part in extra-curricular activities can also help children to balance their schoolwork and other commitments, as well as helping them to build self-esteem and confidence.
We strongly encourage parents to sign their children up for one or more extra-curricular clubs that interest them. This is a great way to support their overall well-being and development, while also helping them to achieve their full potential. Please check with the school office for a list of available clubs and the schedule of activities.
One of Greenvale's strengths is the outstanding range of extra-curricular activities it is able to offer.
Previous clubs have included; football, netball, multi sports, tennis, art, gardening, computer, German, country dancing, choir and board games.
Children from Years 3-6 may receive lessons in instruments such as violin, flute and clarinet, although parental contributions for these are required. We also join with local cluster schools to take part in sports festivals in the local area.
