SCIENCE

At Greenvale we believe that developing a balance of Scientific knowledge alongside key enquiry skills will equip our children for successful futures. We deliver all the National Curriculum programmes of study through  a thematic approach, thus encouraging pupils to forge links between the different Scientific disciplines and other subject areas. 

We enhance learning through meaningful practical experiences such as visits to the ARC Animal Centre, Forest School, cookery and gardening all of which help children understand the vital role Science has to play in our day to day lives. The global and international themes of our topics such as deforestation, water poverty and sustainability demonstrate how Science can be used for the greater good and equip our pupils to to be responsible global citizens of the future.
